Just look at this beautiful guy...

Teddy's family just sent me this pic of him on the landing in their home. Can you believe anyone who ever said this dog wanted to run and be free on the mountain? I am so happy for him-he finally knows a life of security and love.

His family also reported that a little while back they had a dog house guest and the two of them played tug of war in the back yard-they both apparently had a great time!

Wow...Teddy actually gets to be a dog!

I know you all are smiling now. Thank God his (and our ordeal) ended in happy note with his rescue and finding a forever home. So many others....well...you know...

Sharing more of the mountain with Teddy than intended...

Well it’s been quite a while…and it’s been interesting (a nice way of putting it all). My lack of posting was not due to the family not sending updates. Unfortunately Teddy and I have shared more of the mountain than either one of us should have to bear. Just like our Teddy, I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease, and let me tell you the past month has NOT been much fun. But in lieu of the grimy details I’ll just move to sharing some of his updates from the family…

Teddy and his family went on a camping vacation and had a great time. They also discovered that Teddy likes movies as they watched a movie about a dog, and he seemed to enjoy the flick. He reportedly has settled in nicely and is very much a part of the family. They love him AND he loves them-how wonderful after a year on the run! (I do have to ask if they have been treating him for his Lyme Disease, because I wouldn’t want him to feel the way I’ve been feeling.)

(pics provided by his family)

There are a few t-shirts left, please email me if you’re interested. All monies will go to the Hillside SPCA for their “medical and educational” fund in honor of Teddy.
Side Note: I'm sure every animal in every shelter has a story of fear and heartache. Teddy is fortunate in that HIS story can be told. There are so many others whose stories or histories may never be known, but they do have one thing in common...they too need a loving home. If only ALL the others could be as fortunate as Teddy. Please consider adopting. Thank you for all your prayers and support in bringing Teddy back.
