Well he eagerly scanned the yard this morning looking/hoping for a trail of treats as has been past practice, however I am determined to stay strong as suggested by the experts. I did put a few tiny tempting morsels leading to the trap as always, but the divinely aromatic feast awaits a very hungry dog inside the trap.
Upon his visit this morning, he paced and sat and looked and paced. He circled and sat, and sort of funny he looked down at the house as if to say "Hey you wanna' get this out for me?" (Naturally I'm humanizing here but I have to make fun where I can as I need to laugh because this entire situation just breaks my heart.) So I'm now waiting to see if he will be coming back as he did yesterday. Since he didn't return after his long yearning yesterday, I wonder if he had gotten more food some where else. If others continue to feed him we will NEVER entice him into the trap and he will be destined for...who knows what.
I can't say it enough, if any one is feeding him or knows of any one who is feeding him, please please let me know so we can work together-at this point it is the only chance he has of being rescued. No one wants to see this guy continue to live in fear and perhaps succumb to something awful.
Please help to get the word out! So far no show of Janine's letter to the editor in our local paper, darn! I believe it would so help to have that printed. Also any coverage we could get would help and be appreciated, but I guess a poor fearful solitary dog running for a year isn't news worthy enough. It certainly is in my book as this is a living breathing creature who is so afraid and on constant "high alert,"any one with an ounce of compassion would want to see his fears alleviated. Ok, enough of my rant...I'm going off on a tangent again...I'll stop.
As always your prayers and continued vigilance are so needed and appreciated! Bless you all, Friends of Teddy!
