Not exactly what I had in mind...

..for obvious reasons. As you can see he/she was not too happy with me nor I with him/her. We don't have many cats in the neighborhood any more so I'll have to ask around about this one. Maybe I'll have to set-up a cat trap for him/her. Any way I decided to let him/her go since I didn't know if it was owned by anyone. Naturally he spit at me and I had a momentary concern that he may come out and attack due to fear but...he ran as soon as pulled up the trap door.
And guess who was no less than 50 ft away, lounging, watching the entire scenario play out...you guessed it...Teddy. I had brought up some meaty treats too as I always am hopeful I will one day get him to watch me throw one to him and he will come to me...I know big hope. But he DID watch me as I tossed a few meaty treats in his usual path, and he didn't leave. Also, when I gave my special whistle he actually looked at me this time...hmmm. I even was brave and used my voice and he still didn't budge. So I decided to sit with more treats and wait, he was making his way around when the neighbor started yelling for their dog, and that was the end of that. He walked further up instead of down the mountain. I did give my whistle once more and he stopped and looked again, and I tossed some treats and left. Haven't noticed him back yet, but I will have to clean up the remains later.
