I came up with another tempting aromatic treat to add to the pile (which I won't disclose just yet), that seems to have him hanging around a bit longer this a.m. He also has left and come back a few times as well. I hope he's not raiding someone's garbage-if so email me and I'll come and clean it up!
A kind "Teddy's friend" lady received one of my flyers and called yesterday. She has been feeding him. After we talked for a good amount of time, we decided that she would still put food out for him but only one or two tsp., that way he should be hungrier and perhaps easier to entice. Of course, we still don't know if he'll get in the trap, but we hope if he is hungry enough he will. We agreed on at least trying this for one week. He also was barking again this a.m.-I wonder if he barks at snakes? I know also, he was barking at the trap this morning-perhaps in frustration. It is so good to hear his "voice" though.
She also told me of someone else she heard might feed him once in a while-my husband is giving him a call this morning to explain what we are trying to do and hopefully get him on board with us as well.
Yes I still feel badly that this guy is really hungry, but I understand that this is the only chance we will have of getting him in the trap and rescued this way. He has to be a very hungry boy.
Please pray as always for his continued safety and rescue (SOON!) Thank you all for your support! You all are true friends of Teddy!
