Dining in...sort of...

As I walked the back yard to deliver his trail of treats to the kennel, I happen to look ahead to where the traps are sitting (his "old" area). Standing there poised and firmly planted...stood some sort of a creature looking at me. I froze. Without my glasses, the world at a distance is a little fuzzy. We both stood looking at each other unmoved. I tried to figure out what it was-could it be a fox-yet it looked gray and smaller, could it be a bobcat, was it a little dog? Within seconds twenty guesses went through my mind as we stood looking at each other. Big brave me, I softly but firm said "shoo" and waved my free hand-the "thing" didn't budge, and I thought to myself that was pretty dumb as that could have been perceived as a threat. So I courageously (believe that and I'll sell you some swamp land) took a step forward...it lunged forward and then quickly turned and ran up the mountain. Needless to say for a moment I thought I was had. And worst part about it-I think it was ANOTHER stray cat!

Teddy arrived and ate his treats. I did not put any food up in the trap area as I am focusing all attention in and around the kennel. I placed a very small helping right at the open door, and took a huge plate of "good stuff" and placed in midway inside the kennel. Teddy circled and paced and stopped and looked at that tempting plate of food inside. I thought he'd never go in, when finally...he did. With every bite he took from that plate, his head shot up and he looked all around. I can't imagine eating with such "nerves." He did pull the plate more towards the door (I guess safety in the openness), but he cleaned the plate while still inside. He lingered for a little while and then made his way back to the mountain. This is definitely a new experience for him in more ways than one-now he's eating more in the open and he has a new area/kennel to become accustomed to. I'm going to put a little food inside later today-not much just enough to hopefully get inside the kennel once again. So onward... with your prayers of course!

The first set of T-shirts have arrived-this quantity is limited so if you want to help out and order, please either email me or order through paypal. It will take approximately 2 weeks to restock after this initial order.

Thanks!
