Well it is day 9 of major foods being only in the trap. Of course water is provided with a few tiny tidbits to entice outside the trap, but so far no go. It was a torrential downpour this a.m. so by the time I got his cooked feast up to the trap area I was soaked, but then again...I could go back in the house and dry off. Something tripped the trap (it is tied in the open position at night), and I believe it was him. One reason being when I cleaned up his area early last evening he came back and was checking it all out, sooooooo....if he can go in then why not when there is great food awaiting him? Darned if I know!
I do know he's going to have to go in soon, or the plan will have to change, as I don't know how much longer he can really go without a substantial amount of food. I worry that it is taking too long. I am at a loss for holding out some times as my emotions want to take over and just feed him, but we came this far maybe just a few more days...
So he arrived during the heavy rain, made his circles, and proceeded to lie in the clearing facing the house-it was pouring! One of my dogs barked downstairs and he eventually moved. I'm sure he'll be back, and let's hope he heads in for the food.
